UConn Names Interim Director of Stamford Campus

The College of Connecticut announced nowadays the appointment of an interim director for UConn Stamford. David Souder, a professor and administrator in the School of Business, will consider on this role, commencing Thursday, July 1.

Provost Carl Lejuez shared the news in an e mail to College school and personnel.

“David is an expert leader at UConn who has held a wide range of administrative positions. I look forward to working with him to steward the Stamford campus though we prepare for a national search for the upcoming director,” Lejuez explained.

Souder’s leadership knowledge contains serving as the interim dean and the affiliate dean for graduate systems in the Faculty of Business enterprise. Currently he serves as the academic director of the school’s Government MBA plan and the Ph.D. coordinator for the Management Department.

UConn Stamford has grown in recent many years, with the addition of new residence halls, new educational systems, and greater enrollment. Souder will be a part of a dedicated and proficient leadership staff who have been vital to the campus’s continued development, like longtime Associate Campus Director Terry Reilly. Souder succeeds Terrence Cheng, who was named as president of the Connecticut Condition Faculties and Universities.
